About the Event

    The 3rd annual "Shoot For Those In Need" Charity Basketball Game is set to be the most exciting event to date.  We plan to accomplish our objective by hosting a basketball game that will showcase the best young talent the Lower Mainland has to offer.  The DRIVE All-Stars which will feature DRIVE Coaches Pasha Bains, Bol Kong, Chad Clifford plus more!  They will be playing against CIS/BCAA All-Stars.

    This year, the event will be held at Earl Marriott Secondary in White Rock, British Columbia on Friday, December 19th, 2008 and the game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.

    Admission will be $2 for students and $5 for adults. There will be more information about the charities at the door. In addition, we will be accepting any donations of non-perishable food items, as well as jackets, blankets and sweaters.

About the Shooting Clinic:

This year in addition to the Charity Basketball game DRIVE will be running a Shooting Clinic for players in grades 5-12 from 5:30-7:00pm, prior to tip off of the Feature game. All proceeds from the Shooting Clinic will be donated to the local Charities involved with the event.

The DRIVE Shooting Clinic will be run by Head Coaches Pasha Bains (UBC) and Chad Clifford (UBC). Pasha is a former CIS Player of the Year (2004) and two-time CIS Scoring Champion, while Chad has extensive University playing experience himself having been an all-star at SFU and played Division I Basketball.

Sighting the Basket

Body Mechanics & Using your Legs

Squaring the body before Catching
Plus multiple shooting contests!
